Green Beans with Brown Butter - 4 servings

Preparation: 5 min. Cooking: 10 min. Total: 15 min.
  • 1 lb green beans, cut into 2 in. pieces, thawed if frozen
  • 2 tsp unsalted butter

Place green beans in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover saucepan and steam 7-8 minutes or until bright green and almost tender. Rinse beans under cold running water and drain thoroughly. Melt butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook until butter is nutty brown and foam has subsided. Stir in beans. Toss and season with salt and pepper to taste.
